The new self-scheduling option will make employee scheduling easier and save managers even more time. Instead of having to schedule every employee, specific employees can now schedule themselves.
Self-scheduling has become more prominent in specific industries and is seen as a way to increase job satisfaction and staff retention. Rather than managers assigning shifts to employees, self-scheduling allows certain employees, usually those who are more tenured, to pick the shifts and days they would like to work. Managers can still approve or edit the schedule to ensure proper staffing levels and review scheduled hours before committing and posting the schedule.
The latest release of ScheduleAnywhere now allows users to create "self-scheduling timers" and assign them to employees. These timers control when employees can login to ScheduleAnywhere to schedule themselves and which dates they are allowed to edit. Timers also set future schedule periods and self-scheduling sessions automatically.
